Mrs. Lemons
Welcome Eagles!
My name is Shannon Lemons and I teach Animal Science, Agriculture Biology, Floral Design and Horticulture. This is my 19th year of teaching.
I was born and raised in Arroyo Grande and I was a fourth generation graduate of Arroyo Grande High School. While in high school, I was active in the FFA, cheer and dance company. I started riding horses when I was young and still spend my afternoons and weekends on horseback. In my personal time, I enjoy hiking and camping with my husband and daughter.
I attended Cal Poly and received a BS in Animal Science and a MS in Agriculture. Through Cal Poly's enterprise program, I worked at the horse unit, poultry unit and in the deciduous orchard. Additionally, while in college, I worked weekends as a veterinary assistant at Pismo Beach Veterinary Clinic. I also have personal experience raising swine, poultry and rabbits. To gain experience in floral design I have attended many courses over the years and became a California Certified Florist in 2017.
As an FFA advisor, I am currently responsible for the horse judging, extemporaneous public speaking and veterinary science career development events.
During this time of remote learning, all classroom materials and assignments can be found on Google Classroom. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mrs. Lemons
